San Francisco Street Cleaning Website

SFStreets Cleaning App

The culmination of a lot of data massaging. Excited to finally throw out there a simple Google Maps interface with San Francisco Street Cleaning data.

Check out the latest iteration with a geo aware interface. Now it knows where you are and what the street cleaning schedule is outside the door, you know — just in case!

Could you please supply me with the raw data you used to create this street sweeping map of san francisco? My company would like to use it. Thank you!

How do you pull your data for this app?

    Hi,

Putting together all of this information is incredible. Thank you. I just spent a while looking for something exactly like this, as I just moved to San Francisco and parking is…well, it’s parking in SF. I’m sure you’ve moved on to other projects, but I wanted to ask for a feature request that would make this that much better for me.

I’d love for the ability to enter in a day/time (e.g. Tuesday 8-10 AM) and for only those streets to get highlighted.
Or alternatively, for the street labels to be color coded by day/time. (e.g. Red dashed lines mean Monday morning. Red solid lines mean Monday afternoon. Red dotted lines mean Monday evening. Orange dashed lines mean Tuesday morning, etc.) Currently it’s very difficult to navigate and extract the information just by looking at it.
I know implementing features like that are expensive, no small undertaking, and take a massive amount of time. I just have to believe there’s plenty of other people in my situation for whom this would be an incredible time saver. If you were to turn it into an app, I know I’d buy it.

Anyway, thank you for making this. Already it’s so impressive.

    Great work!

The data is from here: http://apps.sfgov.org/datafiles/index.php?dir=PublicWorks

I’m glad I didn’t have to build this myself, you’ve done gawd’s work sir.

Any chance you could make your map readable in Google Maps for API access? This is way more useful than the raw KMLs.
